VOLUNTEER HOURS (May 2016)

The National Honor Society helps prepare students for leadership and lifelong success. As part of this, we ask our NHS members to volunteer in our community. The new inductees (in less than a semester) served over 160 hours.  The juniors served over 465 hours this year, and the seniors served over 480 hours this year.

This total of more than 1,105 hours of community service does not include the time the National Honor Society members spent on our annual commitment to Operation Santa Claus.  If these hours for each student are added, the NHS grand total is closer to 1300 community service hours.

We at T.R. Miller are extremely proud of these students for giving their time to give back to the community who supports them.  We are also very grateful for the hard work put in by Catherine Watson, the NHS sponsor.
