Brewton City Schools will continue to monitor the weather over the next couple of days. We will let our stakeholders know as soon as possible of any changes to the school schedule.
Please note: NO backpacks are allowed at the football games this season.

Tomorrow (Thursday, September 5), our juniors will take a PRACTICE ACT.
Juniors should report to their testing rooms before 8 am.

If you purchased your reserved seats prior to today, your stadium seat has already been placed for you. If you purchased your seat today, you will need to bring a stadium seat for tonight's game.

SchoolDigger just released their rankings of the 378 public schools in Alabama.
This year, T. R. Miller is ranked #24 in the state! Moving from #52 last year to #24 this year is the result of hard work and dedication from the students, from the teachers, and from the administrators. As always, it's GREAT to be a MILLER TIGER! !

WELCOME BACK, TIGERS!!
We have missed you this summer.
Just a few notes to make the first day easier and better:
1. Lockers are $6. You will need these on the first day. Please bring correct change.
2. We are providing school supplies this year. You will receive your box tomorrow morning.
3. All cell phones and smart devices must be turned off and put in your locker.
4. Please make sure you are dressed appropriately. You should be in dress code even on the first day.
5. Water bottles must be clear. Please see the earlier post regarding water bottles.
6. Please look at the lunch list posted earlier. As a reminder, tomorrow is Wednesday.
BCS is ready for the 24-25 School Year after an amazing In-Service Day Friday at TRM. 2024 Alabama Teacher of the Year Jeff Norris, who teaches sixth grade mathematics at Oak Mountain Middle School in Birmingham, Alabama, was the guest speaker among others.
New Teacher Orientation will be Thursday, Aug. 1 in the Central Board Office Meeting Room.
BCS Institute Day will be Friday, Aug. 2 at TRM Auditorium.
August 5-6 will be Teacher Work Days at their schools.
Students will have their first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
The Brewton City Board of Education is seeking a leader with a demonstrated ability to raise student achievement to serve as the board's next superintendent.

A new school calendar for 2024-25 was approved at Monday night's board meeting. The other calendar had an error. Teachers will now report back Friday, Aug. 2 and have work days on Aug. 5 and 6. The first day of school will now be Wednesday, Aug. 7. Nothing else was changed.
T. R. Miller is thrilled to introduce Mrs. Sheila Scott as our new Science teacher!
Mrs. Scott earned her degree in Chemistry from Judson College. She has been part of our system for 11 years as a substitute. She will join the TRM faculty to teach Physics, Calculus, and Exploring Computer Science. Additionally, she will coach Cross Country and Tennis. Mrs. Scott is married to Doug Scott, a TRM alumnus, and they have one daughter, Sara, who is also a TRM graduate.
