Brewton City Schools will be closed Monday, September 4, 2023 for Labor Day
Hess Awards will be on campus on Wednesday, September 6 for athletes who want to order a letterman jacket. Students who have 7th period athletics may see the representative during 7th period; others may see the representative after school. A minimum of $100 is needed as a deposit for each order. Athletes should see their coach for more information.

Attention parents and guardians:
We are thrilled to announce the ability for parents to log into PowerSchool and see their student's grades and attendance.
Letters were sent home with students today. The information at the top of the letter explains how to set up an account and how to log in. We encourage all parents/guardians to use this new method. You may, as always, reach out to any teacher via email or contact our office with additional questions concerning grades and attendance.
Our T. R. Miller Tigers will host the Hillcrest Jaguars this week. The game starts at 7 pm, and the gates will open at 5:30 pm. Advanced tickets are on sale for $6 in the TRM office, in the BMS office, and at Jus Do in Brewton. Tickets at the gate are $7.
This Friday night, our T. R. Miller Tigers will host Clarke County in a pre-season jamboree. This game starts at 6 pm (note the earlier start time), and gates will open at 4:30.
Advanced tickets are on sale for $6 in the TRM office, at the BMS office, and at Jus Do in Brewton. Tickets will be $7 at the gate.
Reserved Seat Season tickets are also available in the TRM office for $60.
Join the Cross Country team this Friday for the annual Friday Night Lights 5K Fun Run/Walk! Registration forms can be picked up in our office or from any XC team member.
Parents, please attend these meetings if possible. They will be full of useful information for each grade level!

The seats are $60 each and include admission to each regular season home football game including the Jamboree game versus Clarke County on August 18.

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at T. R. Miller High School, and we look forward to seeing our students on Monday, August 7. Due to attendance and safety concerns, we would like to make you aware of several important issues as well as changes for this year.
1. ALL backpacks, purses, and bags larger than a pencil pouch must be left in the student’s locker.
2. We will not accept phone calls for check out purposes.
3. We will not accept emails for students to sign out on the “day of” the event.
4. We will not allow DoorDash or food delivery services to bring food to students.
5. Students have three (3) days to bring an excuse for absences, for check-ins/tardies, and for check-outs.
6. Students may have three parent excuses for absences per semester.
School starts Monday, August 7. See you next week!

Reminder: Early dismissal tomorrow
BCS will have an early dismissal at 12 noon on the last day of school Thursday, May 25. All other days the last week of school will be normal days except for those taking final exams at TRM. They will follow their final exam schedule.
T. R. Miller is pleased to introduce the Class of 2023 Valedictorian, Christian Ellington, and Salutatorian, Cole Kelley. These gentlemen were honored by our local Rotary Club on Monday and were each presented with a plaque and a scholarship. Pictured with them are Brewton City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Kenneth Varner, and TRM Principal, Chuck Alford. Congratulations to these deserving young men as well as to the Class of 2023.
